Wilson Score ranking: the same algorithm behind Reddit's "Best" sort and Amazon's top reviews. It balances sentiment confidence with volume, so a brand with 1 positive review can't outrank one with 100 good reviews.
Deduplicated per user: each person is counted only once per brand, no matter how many times they rave about it. This prevents vocal minorities from skewing the results.
Sentiment analysis: each mention is classified as positive, negative, or mixed based on the surrounding context. Brands need at least 3 mentions in a category to appear in the chart.
Data range: 2015-08-14 to 2026-03-22, from r/dogfood, r/dogs, and r/puppy101.
